Congratulations to the team at DePuy in Cork for achieving the Shingo Gold (overall) Prize.
The feedback from the Shingo assessors included that they had never before seen such a high level of employee engagement.
The DePuy team had the courage to launch a mass bottom up engagement process in 2008 (see Case Studies section) and combined that with their own Lean System (designed by Cathal O'Reilly) and the systematic application of our Cathedral Model of leadership development. They have also invested in sending key leaders on the Cardiff/Buckingham Lean MSc.
An earlier Toyota audit had said "The best example we have seen of an organisation that truly embraces the cultural aspects of the Toyota Way to deliver sustainable results". Well done to the Cork team under the leadership of James Winters.
