A Six Sigma Black Belt, Brian has over 29 years’ industrial and business experience, gained from blue-chip companies such as Seagate Technology, Invest NI and Dalgety.

Critical contributor to a multinational company’s successful green field site start-up. He managed simultaneously several operational key metrics such as quality control, on time delivery, product performance, budgets and supply chains.

Selected Results:

  • $5.6 million contribution to the bottom line from projects delivery over 3 years.

  • Industry 4.0: Designed and delivered a knowledge management and competency programme that reduced misaligned training costs and matched resource with industry 4.0 requirements

  • Refocused Process Engineering function from sustaining activities to innovation by reforming culture, process and metrics

  • Restructured the ‘Attract, On-boarding and Retain’ culture and approach as part of the Rapid Mass (1400) employee engagement and enablement process

  • Converted bright technically strong but leadership-weak key individuals into well-rounded future leaders via a bespoke programme of training, coaching and mentoring

  • 100% on time delivery of all metrics for one of four key functional manufacturing areas critical for the Seagate Springtown green field site start up. 

  • Simultaneously managed: Yield, Test, Factory Control, and Inspection functional groups

  • $2 Million added to the site’s bottom line over 3 years running a business within the business reporting directly to the MD

  • $3.6 million reduction in cost via six sigma black belt projects

  • £680,000 external funding secured via Innovate UK, projects.
